TradChords has grown a lot since launch in July, more quickly than I expected, now with 1,400+ backing arrangements across 1,100+ tunes.

Keeping it running and developing takes time, but also money, so I'll be introducing a premium tier in the new year to make it sustainable. Starting 1 March, some features will be paid for unlimited use, at £4.99/month or £49.99 for the whole year (17% saving). The full arrangement catalogue and core playback will always remain free.

As an early user of TradChords, you will continue to get full unlimited access until 1 March 2026. After that, free accounts will still have plenty to work with for casual use.

If you're using TradChords regularly to learn new tunes, accompany your playing, or to store/print your personal collection of lead sheets, you may find the free tier won't be enough. You will have the option to upgrade anytime to get unlimited use of everything, all while supporting a project that's helping to bring in new players and keep the tradition alive.
