TradChords is a practice companion for both melody players and accompanists. Melody players can play along with hundreds of configurable backing tracks, accompanists can see, hear and play the accompaniment!

TradChords gives you access to the largest ever catalogue of chord arrangements and MIDI backing tracks for Irish traditional tunes, contributed by session players, teachers, and accompanists from around the world.

Here's how it works:

1. Find a tune with backing

2. Hit the ‘Add Backing’ button, then ‘Inject Chords’

3. Watch the chords get scribbled onto the sheet music

4. Now you've got a configurable backing track for your tune!

You can slow it down, loop sections, and practice at your own pace, in any key. Once you’re done practising, save the tune to your tune book, with your preferred instrument and backing, and build up your collection!
